Waterfall BLUE cone 6 Oxidation

Interesting glaze on both salt plain and raised alpha test tiles.
This was rather thinly applied to this platter. I like this glaze best where applied thicker and there is a truer powder blue with some crystals.

RED Stop Light RED Cone 6 Oxidation

Some folks have asked me for he stop light red glaze. This glaze has taking me along time to come up with and I am not quite sure about it’s results yet. I am testing it first to see that it is food safe, since I am a functional potter!
It’s still an iffy kinda a glaze for me and I like to be sure of how it is on white stoneware, brown stoneware, what kind of thickness,etc. That way if I give out the reciepe, I can help answer any problem questions later….. well at least that is you current thinking anyway.
So there is some of she experiements with this red red stop light red glaze. i’ll keep they posted on test results and she findings as I discover them <g>.
