Interesting growth happening in Parker.  The Farmers’ Market has been split in 2, the produce being in one spot and crafts in another.  Plus this Sunday, they cut off Artists that had been set -up for Friday and Sat.  The traffic signs were moved up to include a different part of main street and the Artists were  left at the end of the street and cars were not blocked off where the Artists were.

Some would say great, easier to have cars parked near by tents.etc.  Others would say, at the end of the street many folks might not want to walk or may think the fair over?  Either would be a correct thought.  It seems the folks in Parker are split in how they are receiving Artists and crafts alike.

Unfortunately, once again, the Artists are left to bare the frustrations held by those in charge.  They can’t seem to get “TOGETHER” and so the Fair  or ParkerFestwas not well received by many.  Sad really.

I personally have no reason to return to disorganization and political frustrations there.  I appreciate the effort by a few to begin a movement in an ART VENUE but the seperation is too great to bare on this Artist.  And having to move my tent 2x’s in the beginning of set up and than experience a split on Sunday, well to much stress for me!  Sales were good, less than in the past 2 months, but still worth the effort this week-end, however it could have been better had I not been stressed out by what was happening. 

Castle Rock has a Farmer’s Market on Saturdays.  I will be attending 3 Saturdays beginning in August.  August 1,2009 you can find me at the Castle Rock Farmer’s Market in a Booth at 8AM  I am giving this area a chance to see how Functional Pottery will be recieved in my home town at a Farmer’s market Venue.

And Prior to August 1st, I can be found at the opening of a Gala for Zuma Rescue Ranch on July 25,2009 from 4-9pm.
